What Is It

Airway & Sleep Analysis

Airway & Sleep Analysis evaluates how breathing, oral structure, jaw position, and sleep quality interact. Many dental and facial signs can point to airway strain, including narrow arches, tooth wear, mouth breathing, dry mouth, and restless sleep.

The assessment combines clinical examination with a detailed symptom history and, when appropriate, home sleep study information. We look for signs of obstructive sleep apnoea, upper airway resistance, nasal breathing problems, and functional patterns that may disturb sleep.

The result is a clear plan: dental or myofunctional treatment when suitable, and referral to medical colleagues when sleep medicine, ENT, or other specialist care is needed.

We screen and assess airway-related dental and functional signs. Formal medical diagnosis is made by qualified sleep medicine providers when required.

Not always. We recommend it when symptoms or clinical signs suggest that objective sleep data would change the plan.

Yes. Snoring, restless sleep, mouth breathing, and behavioural fatigue in children should be taken seriously.

We discuss findings and help coordinate referral for medical sleep evaluation while addressing dental or functional contributors when appropriate.

For some patients, dental and myofunctional treatment can improve airway mechanics. The plan depends on the cause and severity.
